Emma trained for 14 years at Westside School of Ballet, a pre-professional Balanchine ballet school and company in Santa Monica. With Westside, she performed "The Nutcracker" every year from 2008 to 2016. She also attended summer intensives with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York, the Boston Ballet, and the Académie Américaine de Danse de Paris. Emma was Co-Captain of the dance team at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences and performed and choreographed in numerous showcases with the company. She received the Crossroads School Award for Excellence in Dance her senior year. Emma also volunteered with Free 2 Be Me Dance every Sunday since sixth grade. She taught ballet to children with Down syndrome and assisted their performance at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles in 2015.
